Ooooooh baby. If you have not been to La Sirena Clandestina in the West Loop, you need to hurry up and cancel whatever brunch plans you did have this weekend and reserve here instead. Brazilian inspired dishes and a gorgeous atmosphere. I’ll let the photos do most of the explanation as to why.
What a gorgeous interior!
La Colombe coffee and cheese bread
Empanada with bacon, cheese, and a fried egg on top
Cinnamon donuts with coffee anglaise
French “toasties” with cashew butter and bananas foster
Steak and egg
See what I mean?
Good to know: I had made a reservation over the phone when my family was visiting (7 people total) and we went right when it opened at 10 and it was fairly quiet. With a big group I always suggest reservations, but it seems like you could go on a whim with a friend and not have to wait long for a table, which is surprising considering the delicious things I consumed!
Next: La Sirena Clandestina only does brunch Saturday and Sunday, so I will be trying their dinner menu soon!
Ever been? Or have other Chicago favorites I should feature? Let me know!
